It's time to plan your trip to the 2009 Holly Hobbie Convention!  This years convention is going to be Friday night and Saturday, October 2nd and 3rd.  It will be held in Zanesville, Ohio at the Ramada Hotel.  I have planned a lot of fun things for us to do. So don't wait, make your reservation now to be part of the fun!

Room Rates: $64.00 + tax per night.

When you make your reservations, be sure to tell them you are with the Holly Hobbie Convention to get these rates. No additional fee has been added to the room rate to cover the cost of the convention room.  I have blocked out 25 rooms on the first floor for us but if you need a handicapped room, you should make your reservation ASAP.  Rooms are double bed, non-smoking rooms. Other types of rooms are available at different prices.  Check In time is 3pm and Check Out time is 12pm.  Reservations must be made by September 3, 2009.  I know some people prefer different hotel chains.  There is a Best Western at this exit.  There are a number of other hotels at exit #'s 152 & 155.

FOOD

The hotel has a free Continental Breakfast daily 6:30 to 9:30am. By the time of the convention, there should be a full service restaurant open serving breakfast, lunch and dinner.  There is a Denny's Classic Diner and a couple of fast food places also at this exit.  There are a number of restaurants and fast food places at exit #'s 152 & 155.  There is an indoor heated pool!!!!

At this years convention, I am planning fun things to do as well as having time to talk. We will have games, discussion time as well as buying and selling time.

Bring any item or pictures that you would like to show & tell about.

CONVENTION EVENTS

There will be a snack/drink table in the convention room. So bring snacks and a drink if you want to.

Please let me know how many tables you will need for the sale.  They will be 5' long tables.

THINGS TO DO NEARBY

MJ Stout Memorial Gallery - This is a collection of Holly Hobbie put together by Norma Stout located in New Concord which is about 8 miles from the hotel. Roger and I are planning on going during Saturday afternoon's break, if Norm will open the doors.  There are also Antique and Pottery Shops nearby to browse through.  The Longaberger Basket Factory is about 25 miles away.  The Zane Gray Museum is about 5 miles away.  Sue A. sent me a note about an area called "Holmes County". She said she and Bill would stay a couple of days and enjoy the fine restaurants and nice places to stay.  Some of the places she mentioned are Walnut Creek, Sugar Creek, and Millersburg.  Thanks Sue!

Roger and I went and looked at this hotel.  We found it was clean, nice and a perfect setup for the convention.  The first floor rooms are on the same level and close to the convention room.  The convention room is large and has plenty of tables for our use.

Order your Convention T-Shirt today.  Preorder T-shirts and pick them up at the convention. Cost is $9.00.  Deadline to order T-Shirts is August 1st. When you order a shirt make sure that I confirm the size with you.  The T-Shirt will be white with this image on it...
